Last night we had a lovely dinner at Bosley on Brady, located in Milwaukee's Brady Street neighborhood.
For those of you more familiar with Madison than Milwaukee, Brady Street has a similar vibe to Madison's State Street, except you can drive on Brady Street. And there's not a State Capitol on one end and a university on the other end of Brady Street. And there's no store with the excellent name of Art Smart's Dart Mart and Juggling Emporium on State Street like there is on Brady Street. And no, I am not making that up. But despite their differences, the two streets share an eclectic feel and a nice mix of restaurants, bars, and shops that make for a great way to pass the time, especially when the weather is nice and you can take the opportunity to window shop up and down the block.
But I digress.
Bosley on Brady is often heralded as Milwaukee's best seafood restaurant, and I'm happy to report they also do steaks and desserts quite skillfully. There is a Key West vibe to the place, and by that I (thankfully) do not mean that they play a lot of Jimmy Buffett. Their menu features many items prepared with fruit and citrus, and in addition to a killer Key Lime Pie (with a gingersnap crust - nice touch!), they offer a Double Dark Chocolate-Dipped Key Lime Pie-sicle (I'm sure they have a better name for it) that we have vowed to try next time.
We enjoyed our meal there, both for its quality and for the fact that the atmosphere was conducive to good conversation (the tables weren't crowded together; it wasn't so loud we couldn't hear each other). We definitely plan to return!

The next time we are in Milwaukee to visit, we will check it out . . . purely to be certain that your assessment is correct. Good idea?
